At TechHub Bucharest, independence and creative freedom are two values we hold dear, so we’re big supporters of those startups that manage to combine these two concepts for great results. That’s why this week’s meetup focuses on Developing games – The indie way. On Thursday, October 10th, we’ll be joined by Robert Muresan, Exosyphen Studios founder, Dragos Inoan from Dream Builder Studios and Dan Dimitrescu from Killhouse Games, in a talk moderated by Bobby Voicu, Co-founder & CEO of Mavenhut. We’ll talk about the challenges and rewards of developing games independently, about the importance of choosing the right channels for digital distribution and many more aspects that decide the fate of an indie game.
About the guests:
Robert Muresan, Owner and Founder of Exosyphen studios
Robert is the founder of the leading Romanian indie game development studio, Exosyphen studios. The studio has developed the first Romanian commercial PC game and went all the way to the top 10 bestselling games on STEAM, worldwide. Robert is described as a multi-talent individual by his business partners and his vast experience gives him the ability to be a visionary in the indie games field.
Dragos Inoan, Creative Director at Dream Builder Studios (Strikewing)
Dragos is a game designer with strong analytical skills, a programming background and a strong gaming culture. His specialties include Single and Multiplayer Game Design, Single and Multiplayer Level Design and Content creation Tools design. He’s always focused on delivering the highest possible quality in a product within the designated time-frame. Some of his biggest projects include Strike Wings (currently under development for most iOS devices) and Heresy War (PC). Dragos has also worked for Ubisoft in the past.
Dan Dimitrescu, Game designer and co-founder at Killhouse Games
Dan is an experienced game designer with a passion for history and military technology. He loves creating detailed worlds that players immerse themselves in. He’s very keen on research, scripting and military-related information, and he has an incredible eye for detail and game storytelling. His project, Door kickers, is a real-time tactics game that puts you in charge of a SWAT team. Dan has also worked for Ubisoft.

Bobby Voicu, Co-founder & CEO of Mavenhut
Bobby is the founder of the social gaming startup Mavenhut, which managed to get from 0 to 3.5 million registered users in less than a year for their Solitaire Arena game. His experience as an online entrepreneur interested in gaming, Bobby has enriched his experience in the past years in the indie games area.
