Event description

We are excited to roll out our first TechHub Lounge event! Four advisors will facilitate roundtables in our Chelsea space on Wednesday, February 21st between 5:30 and 8:00pm.

This will be an intimate gathering between 40 attendees and four startup advisors. The event space will be arranged to comfortably seat 7-10 people at each roundtable. Attendees will have the chance to sit down with three advisors during the evening. Attendees will rotate to a new advisor after a 20 minute session.

The goal is for the 40 attendees to build relationships with everyone in the space and get their startups related queries answered.

Who is this for:

This event is for startup founders working on a tech product. Startups from early stage funding to Series A are invited to apply.

We are excited to collaborate with:

Natalie Fratto - Vice President, Early Stage Practice at Silicon Valley Bank Financial Group

Natalie Fratto identifies and works with the most promising early-stage (pre-seed through Series A) startups in NYC. She helps startups develop their fundraising strategy, provides feedback on pitch deck and business plan, and make introductions to relevant investors. Her role includes establishing strategic partnerships with leading VCs, angel groups, accelerators, universities, service providers, and other organizations.

Allan Rooney - Founding Partner at Rooney Nimmo

Allan Rooney is a founding partner at Rooney Nimmo, a boutique corporate law firm based in midtown Manhattan, with offices in San Francisco and London. Rooney Nimmo specializes in assisting and advising startups on all aspects of business law, guiding founders through the complete life cycle, from formation, fundraising, and the scale-up process, to exit, via the firm's busy M&A practice. The firm counsels clients on everything from venture capital, intellectual property, employment law, and equity comp, to contractual work, taxation, immigration and real estate, often working hand in hand with founders as a de facto general counsel.

As a founding partner of his own firm, and having taken Rooney Nimmo global in 2016, Allan looks forward to sharing his experiences and expertise with TechHub and its friends.

Stephen Stanczak Marketing Advisor with the MarTech NYC meetup

Stephen Stanczak has 10+ years of marketing experience including marketing campaigns with Microsoft, General Electric and several technology startups. Stephen is President of Online Geniuses, a digital marketing community with 20,000 members. Stephen also runs the MarTech Wiz blog and the MarTech NYC meetup.

As far as advising, Stephen specializes in optimizing marketing technology stacks, SEO, and website analytics. He believes implementing a foundation based on best practices and enduring marketing principles. From there, the goal is continuous improvement through experiments and iteration. The data-driven insights gained then lead to more traffic, leads, and conversions.

Lidia Salgado - Director of Business Development at Early Growth Financial Services

Lidia Salgado joined Early Growth Financial Services (EGFS) in 2014 to help establish firm's operations in New York, working directly with the CEO and covering partnerships, sales and marketing. EGFS provides outsourced financial services – strategic, day-to-day and project-based – to (mostly) early stage venture-backed companies and venture funds in 6 markets across the US. Previously Lidia held various roles on Wall Street - at Morgan Stanley, family offices, and an advisory firm serving activist investors. Leveraging her background in corporate finance, operations and business development, and having worked with hundreds of early stage technology companies, Lidia enjoys the challenge of identifying best solutions and resources to help companies set up a solid foundation or support their growth. In addition to her EGFS responsibilities, Lidia has provided advice to companies though NYC Startup Weekend, Startup Leadership Program, and several accelerators in New York City.
