Techcracker Lab | Co-hosted by UNSW & Horizons Ventures
Overview
Techcracker Lab is a half-day showcase of deep tech innovation, co-hosted by UNSW and Horizons Ventures. The event brings together global founders, researchers, and investors to share insights, demonstrate breakthrough technologies, and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Hosted at Leighton Hall, UNSW Kensington Campus, and MC’d by Professor Bronwyn Fox AO, UNSW Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Enterprise), the program features speakers from Horizons Ventures portfolio companies including Harrison.ai, MEandMINE, Holoclara, and HistoSonics, with a live demonstration of histotripsy — a non-invasive, non-thermal therapy for tumour destruction.
You’ll also hear from Solina Chau, founder of Horizons Ventures and Director of the Li Ka Shing Foundation, whose investment and philanthropic leadership has helped shape some of the world’s most impactful tech companies.
The event will include a panel discussion exploring how deep tech founders and investors navigate innovation, scale, and global impact.
A key feature of Techcracker Lab is the Medtech Expo, showcasing UNSW’s leading startups. As Australia’s #1 university for founders, UNSW is proud to present the ventures emerging from its world-class research and entrepreneurial programs.
