Description

What does surveillance mean to the most targeted groups in our society? TechActivist.Org will lead a discussion with security experts, educators and community activists on the history of surveillance and its ties to state violence. Following the discussion, we will host a 3-hour hands-on workshop to learn tools and best practices in digital security and encryption.

Additional Information:

  • Doors Open at 12:45 PM. Lunch and Snacks will be served at this time. Please note food and seats are limited so please register for the event so we prepare the right amount of food for guest.

  • Our programs are geared towards youth (16+ year olds), educators, organizers, disrupters, and technologists. No programming experience required.

  • We recommend everyone bring a laptop. However if you do not have one please let us know if your registration so we can bring the right amount of tech equipment.
