Julie Ann Horvath is a Designer, Developer and outspoken advocate for Diversity and Inclusion in Tech. In addition to speaking and writing about technology and diversity issues, she’s designed for several well-known companies like Amazon, GitHub. and Yammer.
"Throughout my career I’ve poured over countless “Do’s and Don’ts” and “5 Tips To” articles online hoping to “prepare me for my tech career” and “succeed as a woman in tech.” However, I often only find small pieces of their advice applicable to my day-to-day work. I don’t sit in board rooms. I don’t give presentations to high-powered executives. What I do every day is work with other people. And I’m guessing you do too.
What’s missing from so much of what we talk about when we measure success and career trajectory is how much of our work, regardless of whether or not we work with technology, relies on our ability to communicate and work well with others.
Join me at LeadGenius HQ for a talk about developing good working relationships and navigating difficult situations in the workplace."
