Event description

Description

Got your own start-up? Thinking of starting one? Founders often pour their energy into developing their product, team, premises, brand and website - assuming that sales will flow from this alone. But at some point they will have to sell. The skill of asking someone for their business, and securing a sale is one that doesn't come easily to everyone but it can be learned. That's our focus with this interactive workshop led by serial entrepreneur and sales guru, Simon Hardy.

Now working as a non-exec director for several technology-based start-ups, Simon has led several businesses to growth, investment and successful acquisitions, but his roots are in sales, having headed up several sales and marketing teams.

This workshop is aimed at founders and sales directors of start-ups in and around the University of Glasgow. It will be a fun and informal session that will give start-up founders an opportunity to expand their network and share their own experiences of building and growing their businesses.

Free pizza and refreshments included.

Tech Start is an entrepreneurial support programme of the University of Glasgow.
