Women driving innovation are changing the face of tech and fashion. The success of prominent female leaders are bringing more attention to women in the tech sphere. New digital innovations in fashion and retail resonates with female customers and technology is playing a bigger role than ever in fashion — a trend that will be evident in New York Fashion Week and the London, Milan & Paris.
Lilly Minkove was the former Director of Stores for Louis Vuitton, where she was responsible for the P&L, customer experience, store operations and client development for the Mid-Atlantic region. Before joining Louis Vuitton, Lilly was Director of International Sales at Coach; she launched the brand’s joint venture in Western Europe and opened the brand’s first European store in Paris. Lilly is now a partner at ArtLogica Strategy Group, a business, brand and digital strategy firm advising clients in consumer-focused verticals: retail, fashion, luxury, and consumer goods. ArtLogica helps brands turn deep understanding of consumer insights, needs, and behaviors into actionable business activities that deliver growth and profit. ArtLogica Strategy Group advises clients on brand (re)positioning, international growth, digital and ecommerce strategy, customer experience, and new category development. Lilly is currently the interim Head of Ecommerce for Timbuk2 in San Francisco.
Robin Rahe, At Gap, Robin launched the fastest API-centric pilot that brought together all branches of the organization – from Customer Service, Store Associates, Marketing and Analytics. Now she is designing the future of reporting by combining pricing, customer demand and product lifecycle. As part of Singularity Labs, in 2010 she co-founded a social-impact tech platform that mobilized more than 30,000 entrepreneurs across Latin America and Asia. Following her TEDx presentation in Okinawa, she launched the first offline/online entrepreneurship community. Robin continues to mentor budding entrepreneurs and developers in middle school through the Technovation program.
Nicole Mason is the Director of Digital Media and Marketing at Macy’s Inc. She is responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated marketing strategy rooted in acquisition and retention specifically for Macy's Labs innovation efforts. In 2012, she led cross-functional teams in developing the first-ever live shopping experience for NBC's Fashion Star, a designer competition show featuring Macy's. In 2014 she was named among Macy's Best of the Best in the Omni-Channel category for Mobile Innovation & Activations. Nicole is currently an advisory board member of the Fashion Incubator of San Francisco and was named among the 2016 Brand Innovators San Francisco 40 under 40 in Brand Marketing.
Elyse Kaye has spent her career leading innovation and marketing teams launching dozens of brands and hundreds of product lines. Recent successes include the turnaround of the Four Paws® Brand for Central Garden & Pet, the launch from ground up of the House of Marley Brand from HoMedics and the expansion of licensed brands for Black & Decker through her product development consultancy, AHA Product Solutions. In addition, she is the Founder and CEO of Bloom Bras – a line of patented activewear for the well-endowed woman. Bloom Bras launched via a very successful Kickstarter and social media campaign. Elyse holds several dozen patents. She was contributing author in The Product Manager’s Handbook and gives talks around the globe regarding building a brand, bringing innovation to life and female mentorship. In her freetime, she is a certified fitness teacher and enthusiast.
Rebecca Migirov (Moderator) is the Director of Communications at Chronicled Inc., a blockchain and IoT technology startup building a full platform solution for the Internet of EveryThing. Prior, she was Head of Communications at ConsenSys, where she focused on helping blockchain venture companies go to market and bridging the gap between the blockchain industry and the average person, and has experience in academia, financial services, and political consulting. Rebecca is a Founder of Women in Blockchain, a network of entrepreneurs and technologists in the blockchain industry, which provides educational events and collaboration opportunities. Rebecca has a BA in Politics, Anthropology & Economics from The New School. Chronicled, Inc. is a San Francisco-based technology company with developing a technology platform at the intersection of blockchain technology, IoT, and user engagement.
TECH Fashion Week ™ is the premiere industry event for tech disruptors and creators to discover and discuss the latest developments in fashion through the lens of technology. This year’s theme, “Digital Fashion’s Coming of Age”, will explore how creative vision and digital infrastructure come together in redefining the fashion landscape of the 21st century. The week-long event, which includes workshops, panel discussions and networking mixers, highlights the applications of augmented/virtual realities, retail tech, wearables, IoT and sustainability in the fashion ecosystem. It’s an opportunity to connect with the innovative and forward-thinking fashion-tech community.
