KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • In accordance with CDC Guidelines, The Digital Arts Experience maintains a strict policy regarding students, parents, and staff wearing masks while on The DAE premises. Masks are required 100% of the time by all parties and those that do not wear a mask will be asked to do so. If wearing a mask is refused by anyone, they will be asked to leave. Attendees are expected to behave in a way that aligns with social distancing. Attendees that do not behave accordingly will be removed from the event.
  • By attending, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that your children may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending The DAE and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at The DAE may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, DAE employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families.
  • By attending, you hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless The DAE, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of The DAE, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any DAE program.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at multiple stations throughout our activity area. Feel free to inquire with Staff to help locate the nearest dispenser. Please note: Hand sanitizing does not replace hand washing. CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water whenever possible as it reduces all types of germs and chemicals on hands.
  • Restroom will be accessible inside our facility. Families may enter one at a time.
  • High-touch surfaces are disinfected throughout the duration of the event.

PARKING

As this event will be taking place outdoors in the main parking lot of the DAE, all guests MUST park at the top of the hill by The Child Care Council and walk down. Please do not park in the Charles Schwab parking lot to the right of our facility. For any parking questions please email info@thedae.com.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

On some occasions, the student’s image, work, video, or audio recordings may be used on our website, in printed and promotional materials for The Digital Arts Experience Inc. and it’s students, in photographs and videos, or in voice or sound/music/video recordings. You recognize the nature of the use of these images and media and grant permission for their use. This permission will remain in effect beyond the time the individual is an attendee of The Digital Arts Experience Inc., unless you specify to cancel your permission. In that case we should be able to stop any further productions but will not be able to restrict already released productions. Permission to use the student’s image, voice and sound/music/video recordings is helpful to promote The Digital Arts Experience Inc. and the many talents of its students and is appreciated. Please be assured that we will protect the images of our attendees and will respond to any concerns in a timely manner.

ABOUT THE DAE

The Digital Arts Experience aims to provide a unique opportunity for the kids & teens of the Westchester, Rockland and Fairfield communities to explore the world of creative technology, digital art, STEM related fields and more!

Our programs are goal oriented and focus on hands on learning so each and every student will complete his or her class with incredible original work that can go towards creating a portfolio.

We strive to expose our students to the digital world in order to help them discover new talents and possible career paths.

ABOUT STUDENT ADVOCACY

At Student Advocacy, we believe that every child has worth, every child has potential, and every child deserves an excellent education.

Since 1982, Student Advocacy has provided legally-based education advocacy services for local youth who are seriously challenged, and at risk of failing or dropping out of school. We are currently the only organization exclusively dedicated to providing this assistance to students in Westchester and Putnam counties.

Because nearly 85% of our clients live in poverty, our services are offered free of charge to families, or on a sliding scale. Our work is funded by the support of Westchester-based grant-making organizations, generous donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations. An investment in our work is an investment in our community.
