Tech Breakfast
Event Information
Description
So many events in our city aimed at benefitting our early-stage entrepreneurs are competitions; North Carolina in general, and Charlotte in particular, love their contests. We all want to make sure that our young, high-potential startups face scrutiny to make their businesses stronger as early as possible. One of the problems this creates, though, is that there's almost no way to simulate these situations in a live environment that is not crucial to your company’s success.
Why are important engagements with potential investors or customers impossible to practice?
Well, they aren't anymore!
TechBreakfast!
We’ve created a legitimate monthly pitch practice meet up to give you a chance to pitch ideas and concepts and receive feedback from your peers. Anything from your investor’s pitch to just an idea you want to get feedback on is a valid practice opportunity. And as a value added, there will also be 2 – 3 panelists at each month’s event to review the pitches and foster the feedback conversation. These panelists will be a cavalcade of successful star entrepreneurs from the peer community, and include Terry Cox, Igor Jablokov, Garth Moulton, Tim Cheadle, Manoj Govindan, Chris Halligan, Daniel Friel, Bruce Clark, and Adam Hill.
Co-hosts Jim Van Fleet, principal of It’s bspoke, and Vic Howie, founder of the US Whitewater Center, will emcee the monthly event, and it promises to be light-hearted and fun. There will also be interesting networking opportunities along with a morning coffee and bagel or muffin. Thanks to our sponsors, this event series will be free of charge.
May
Our panelists will be Chris Halligan and Tom Redden. We'll welcome Mindmesh and Requestz Systems to the stage, and we hope you'll join us at Packard Place for another great installment of TechBreakfast.
