About this Event

This professional learning seminar engages K-12 educators in exploring the science of learning and the All Kinds of Minds (AKOM) neurodevelopmental framework. We will use case studies and activities to practice observing and describing students’ learning, and we will explore how to adapt instruction and design targeted interventions based on the neurodevelopmental demands of an academic task and students’ profiles.Specifically, participants will learn about . . .

  • The learning brain and a neurodevelopmental framework for learning (NDFL)
  • Situating the learning brain in societal and equity contexts which can adversely impact student outcomes
  • Using a neurodevelopmental lens to adapt practice and to choose accommodations and interventions
  • The connection between the learning brain, executive function, and culturally sustaining practices

Early-bird registration (through October 30th) for the 3-day seminar is only $399.

Standard registration (after October 30th) is $459.

Registration includes breakfasts and lunches each day—and a special dessert reception for VIP viewing of Epcot’s “Epcot Forever” fireworks show on Thursday evening, December 12th.

Discounted room accommodations available at Walt Disney World’s Swan Resort for $255 per night. Click Here to Reserve Rooms!

Seminar attendees have the option of purchasing special discounted “After 5:00” tickets for Disney Theme Parks (Enjoy Walt Disney World each evening!)
