Description

How do we teach our kids to respect, embrace, and learn from, those who look and believe differently than they do?

Join the authors of the new book, The ABCs of Diversity: Helping Kids (and Ourselves!) Embrace Our Differences and other special guests for a conversation on teaching kids "the language of difference." Authors Carolyn Helsel and Y. Joy Harris-Smith will be joined by fellow authors, scholars, and thought-leaders Jennifer Harvey (Raising White Kids), Patrick Reyes (Nobody Cries When We Die), and Mihee Kim-Kort (Outside the Lines) for a discussion around how we engage our children -- or others we care for -- around issues of diversity. Each author will read an excerpt from their book and there will be opportunity to ask questions of the authors during the event.

Tuesday, JUNE 23, from 8-9pm EST
