This session's topic is Industrialization and Children (session 5 of 5)

Brave Girl: Clara and the Shirtwaist Maker's Strike of 1909 by Michelle Markel
Each session will address a different elementary- level Social studies topic and include a discussion of two children’s books. Participants will:
- Receive both children’s books to bring back to their classrooms
- Strengthen content knowledge of the selected topic through scholarly readings along with reading and discussing the children’s books
- Work with primary and secondary sources
- Plan and collaborate with colleagues
Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions in the series.
There is a maximum of 18 participants for each session.
Participants must register for each session in the series.
