Description

Learn techniques and activities for teaching English language learners, including those who have no English ability. Learn how to plan lessons and assess what your students know. Get tips on how to be culturally sensitive and to differentiate instruction for various levels. This workshop is for new ESL instructors. This workshop has been offered at previous Community Volunteer Trainings.

Presenter Alysan Croydon has been an English language teacher and teacher educator for over 30 years. She has trained volunteers to teach English language learners throughout the state. She is currently a faculty member at the School for Teaching ESL in cooperation with Seattle Pacific University and a board member of the Literacy Council of Seattle.

Registration: 9:00am

Workshop: 9:30am-3:30pm
