"Teach Kids to Code" Birthday Fundraiser
This year, TXT: Teens Exploring Technology helped more than 1000 students learn how to innovate, collaborate, lead and code. Come celebrate and support this organization's life-changing impact at our "Teach Kids To Code" Birthday Fundraiser!
Did you know only 8% of computer science students are Latino and only 6% of computer science students are Black? On average, only 3% of tech professionals are Latino and 1% are Black. Help us change these statistics and change students' lives!
TXT is the premier technology organization developing teens from South Los Angeles, Watts, and Compton into a new generation of innovators and technology leaders. Using technology, they encourage young men of color to become catalysts of change in low-income communities. This fundraiser will help TXT motivate and inspire more students to pursue majors and careers in tech. Donate today and make a difference in the lives of South Central youth.
Your donation will help support the Summer Coding Leadership Academy, a 12-week computer science and entrepreneurship program. After a week-long leadership camp, SCLA students learn computer science through the process of ideating, designing and coding online applications to solve community problems. SCLA ends with Demo Day—a fast pitch competition for startup funding—and tours of tech companies and universities in the Silicon Valley.
Over the years, TXT has helped students graduate high school, attend prestigious colleges, and build their own startups. Students are transformed from apathetic and unfocused to entrepreneurial and driven. Your donations help make these success stories possible. Please donate today and make a difference in the lives of South Central youth. Help us create the next generation of tech leaders in South Central.
We can't do it without you.
