Event description

Description

Come join other business leaders for an inside look at the state of public education in Atlanta. What's working? What's not? Where are there breakthrough opportunities and potential pitfalls?

Teach For America is building a network of education, business and community leaders in our city committed to excellence in education. We're looking for allies to support our efforts in improving the quality of education in metro Atlanta for all students. In addition to asking for your financial support, we will provide a forum where you can meet like-minded leaders in the business world and hear from some of our region’s most prominent thought leaders in education.

Moderated by Hunter Pierson (Bay Area ‘01), the panel will include David Jernigan (Metro Atlanta '00), Deputy Superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, Ed Chang (Metro Atlanta '01), Executive Director of redefinED Atlanta, Eshé Collins (Metro Atlanta '02), Vice Chair of Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education, and Tori Hines (Los Angeles ‘06), Founder and Executive Director of Resurgence Hall Charter School.

We hope you can join us on Friday, November 16th from 7:15-9am for breakfast, networking, and the opportunity to hear from a panel of Teach For America alumni and leaders in education. For media inquiries or more information, please contact Annie Appleton at annie.appleton@teachforamerica.org.
