Inspired by the dainty pastries and tea sandwiches of traditional English tea service, The Awkward Scone has crafted a new healing, playful, and occasionally cheeky approach to the art and enjoyment of afternoon tea and herbal refreshment.

Often slighted for the convenience of coffee, tea takes the back seat as the beverage of choice in NYC. The Awkward Scone chose to rewrite that narrative and instead uses the ancient drink to fashion full flavored, herbal tinctures to enjoy alongside a collection of cheerful tea cakes, scones, donuts and tea sandwiches.

Our signature teas are intended to heal the body and mind, while our sweet and savory pastries heal your soul. We want to return the merriment of this casual, social affair to the hectic lives of busy New Yorkers. Join us in giving tea it's much deserved renaissance!

About Tinyfield Farm:

Tinyfield Roofhop Farm is a small-scale, rooftop farm growing microgreens, salad greens, edible flowers, and hops in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Our goal is to provide high quality, hyper-local produce to consumers, restaurants, and markets. We created this “roofhop” farm to transform underused urban space into a robust ecosystem that also provides a vibrant space for community events and social gatherings. Tinyfield builds a collaborative experience for diners and drinkers alike, connecting the worlds of local agriculture and microbrewing. But most importantly, we are part of a movement for urban farmers to grow big dreams on a tiny field.
