Tea-Making with Botanicals
Overview
Tea-Making with Botanicals
Discover how freshly harvested botanicals can be transformed into flavourful teas in this immersive, hands-on experience.
Learn and practice three tea-making methods — long brew, short brew, and steeped tea — using botanicals sourced from the church garden. Each preparation reveals distinct aromas and flavours, offering both practical skills and sensory enjoyment.
We will stroll around the garden and explore other culinary uses for the harvests, and gain inspiration on how local plants can be part of your everyday cooking.
If it is a rainy afternoon, all's good. We will take the time to enjoy tea and conversations indoors!
Whether you have brewed tea with garden harvests or just love trying something new, this experience is suitable for you.
This event takes place at a communal kitchen and edible garden in a church. Our venue hosts are volunteer gardeners at the church who like and want to support Food Citizen's work.
