Tea and Tour
Event Information
About this event
It's tea time at the Historic Rising Sun Inn! Come join us on Saturday April 23rd for a Tea and Tour! Reserve your seat for either 11AM or 12:30PM.
Tea time took place in colonial America and was held dear because of the high import costs of tea, coffee and chocolate. The Rising Sun Inn has a collection of colonial tea serving pieces, as well as a traditional tea caddy, which was kept locked by the lady of the house. Learn about this and more on a lovely guided tour following your tea!
Attendees will enjoy an Elevenses. Elevenses? What's that, you ask. Elevenses are a more casual, lighter affair with tea and sweets, while Afternoon Teas include finger sandwiches in addition to tea and sweets. After enjoying tea time, guests will tour the Rising Sun Inn learning about its history and its role in Anne Arundel County History.
