Join TDHCA’s Program Services Division for a Training Session focused on Environmental requirements for Single Family Housing Activities.

This is your chance to ask questions directly to the staff members working with you on these regulations, get a better understanding of how to incorporate the requirements into your timelines and avoid behaviors that could put your funding at risk.

Who Should ATTEND?

  • All new participants (HOME, CDBG, NSP, ESG) either locally or with TDHCA.
  • City, County and Non-profit Staff.
  • Environmental and Administrative Professionals providing services to these programs.

What can be expected in The environmental training session?

  • How does the Environmental Review Process impact the timing of Single Family Housing Activities?What are the risks if the Awardees or any of their partners close/ acquire land, or begin construction on any portion of the project regardless of funding source prior to environmental clearance?
    • If not timed properly, the Environmental Clearance process will delay the ability to close on loans, acquire property, and begin construction of ANY portion of the project.
  • Will locating in a Special Flood Hazard Area affect my project? How about noise?
  • Timelines and Format - New Required Format, submissions not following this format will be rejected.
  • Updated and new regulations that must be met to receive Environmental Clearance
