Event description

Description

Members of the Lone Star Chapter will participate in TCU’s Technical Communication: Professional Perspective and Career Paths panel discussion on Thursday, October 19. Sponsored by the Department of English and the New Media Writing Studio, the discussion will include the role of the technical communicator and career options for undergraduate and graduate students. Bob Want, Lone Star Chapter President, Celeste Graeff, Communications Coordinator (and TCU Alumna), and Brenda Barrett, Career Development Co-Chair, are panelists.

The Career Development Committee, formerly College Outreach, generates interest in the technical communication field and provides career counseling and mentoring to new and transitioning technical writers. Join us on Thursday, October 19 from 6:30p to 7:30p as we spread the word about technical communication and the Lone Star Chapter. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

The event will be held on the TCU campus in Rees-Jones Hall (behind the Library-map below) in room 112. Contact Brenda Barrett at bbarrett0writer@mail.com or Bob at intuit999@gmail.com for more information.
