This workshop will provide a tool kit that will explain and demonstrate the many ways that you can grow as a dancer by working with live music. Participants will be joined by two musicians during the last hour and will have the opportunity to perform with the musicians later the same evening in our Shimmy Some Lovin Summer show.

This event is part of TCBBA's desire to educate the community and support local charities in the process. Proceeds form this workshop will go to Coastal Bend Neighborhood Empowerment, a grass roots program aimed at preventing our Coastal Bend neighbors from falling in the river ..... " We need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they are falling in." Desmond Tutu. Coastal Bend Neighborhood Empowerment provides Homeless and Low-Income communities the building blocks they need to re-create their lives. Monies the TCBBA provides them will go toward , meals, fuel, and resources needed to aid these communities.

Following the workshop we will have an evening gala featuring Karen Barbee, Project Band and the Members of the Texas Coastal Bend Bellydance Assoc.

Doors will open at 6:00 pm with live music followed by a variety of dance performances .

Admission is $15 for non members, $10 for Members and children 12 & under
