Event description

Description

This training is intended to equip caregivers to meet the complex needs of children from hard places. Training will be provided in a group setting by TBRI Practitioner Amie Cooper. Childcare is provided on site which will incorporate some therapeutic activities to expose children to strategies you will be learning in class. This is a 5 part training intended to be completed in order, so committment to attend all sessions from August to December is expected. Suggested donation to cover the cost of trianing materials and childcare is $20 per family per session.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is a holistic approach that is multi‐disciplinary, flexible, attachment‐centered, and challenging. It is an evidence‐based, trauma‐informed intervention that is specifically designed for children who come from hard places, such as maltreatment, abuse, neglect, multiple home placements, and violence, but you’ll see that the principles apply to all children. TBRI® consists of three sets of harmonious principles: Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting Principles.
