Event description

Description

We are excited to announce the date for our Annual Blue Ribbon Dinner! Please join us on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Timber Point Country Club, Great River, NY for a night filled with fun, music, food, drinks, laughter & HOPE! Yes, we have changed locations but we are looking for just the right place that works for us and our growing number of attendees and raffle items! Your attendance will help us make a difference in the lives of children facing huge obstacles.

This year will be our second year honoring those that have made a difference in our quest to raise Histiocytosis Awareness and research. We will be honoring the East Islip Fire Department. The volunteers of the fire department are always ready to help us when we need it. They have been dedicated to attending our annual bowling event since the beginning. They are there with the engine allowing kids to take a tour and use the fire hoses. They support our annual toy drive year after year, allowing us to set up and attend their annual tree lighting. Some of these guys are family, but not all of them "knew" us at the start of this. Now, after all of these years we have gotten to know and love them, we consider most of them family. They volunteer their time as firemen as well as volunteering to help us raise awareness and funds in the fight against Histiocytosis. They have helped us make a difference, they have helped us help so many other people and they continue to do so without any question.

We will have a big Chinese Auction, dinner, open bar, dinner and dessert. Admission tickets are $95 each for adults (21 & older), $65 for youth (12 - 20 years old), $45 per child (4 - 11 years old). There will be plenty of food, music, raffles and more! To purchase tickets contact me at 631-965-8155 or tryan@taylorshopefoundation.com. We have many exciting things in the works for this night so we hope you can join us, you won't want to miss it!

Taylor’s Hope was founded in September 2014 with the purpose of providing support to children who are battling diseases, as well as raising awareness and funds for Histiocytosis research. Our goal is to try to keep kids smiling during one of the most difficult times in their lives by providing support to them, their parents and siblings, who are also trying to deal with the magnitude of the situation. We want to show them that there are people that care, that understand and that want to help in any way we can. We know first-hand what it feels like to have a child going through a very difficult illness, our oldest daughter Taylor has been undergoing chemotherapy for over 8 years to treat a very rare cancer called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Without the support of our friends, family, community and a number of organizations, we don’t know how we would have made it through up until this point. Throughout Taylor’s battle, one of her main priorities was always finding ways to help others. To help fulfill Taylor’s dream of giving back while raising awareness, Taylor’s Hope, the Taylor Ryan Foundation was created. We are hoping by starting this foundation it will give us the opportunity to reach so many more people that need help. We will be able to cater to each child/family’s specific needs and help them through a time in their life when they feel so alone. We were able to make a pledge to Cohen's Children's Medical Center for $100,000 to start a registry and research program. We are also able to help many families with medical bills as well as other bills that need attention while they are going through these difficult times. If you can not attend please visit our website www.taylorshopefoundation to learn how to become a sponsor, make a donation, or to volunteer at one of our many events.
