RISD Alumni Relations has teamed with Minerva Financial Arts to bring you Taxes for Creative Freelancers. This interactive webinar will discuss some of the recent changes to the federal tax law and how it may affect small businesses, as well as basic tax considerations like entity structuring, deductions and other common issues that are particularly relevant to artists and designers. The informative lecture will be followed by a Q&A period.

About the Speaker

Elaine Grogan Luttrull, CPA-PFS is the founder of Minerva Financial Arts, a company devoted to building financial literacy in artists and arts organizations through education and coaching. She is also an assistant professor at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where she serves as the Department Head for Business & Entrepreneurship. Elaine previously served as the Director of Financial Analysis for The Juilliard School and in the Transaction Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young in New York. Her presentations have been featured nationally by many arts management firms, councils, and nonprofits. Elaine is the author of Arts & Numbers and a regular contributor to Professional Artist magazine. She is based in Columbus, Ohio where serves on the boards of Social Ventures and the Short North Alliance.
