The Urban Financial Services Coalition DMV Interest Group invites you to its February 20, 2019, General Body Meeting featuring a discussion about “Tax Strategies for Business Owners and Professionals" on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 6:30 pm.
During this session professionals and business owners will learn some quick, down and dirty tax strategies to reduce taxes to Uncle Sam and get the opportunity build their network.
Speaker Bio:
Shellie M. Bowman Sr. hails from Brooklyn, New York by way of South East Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of Eastern Senior High School before proudly serving 11 years in the US Navy as a SWCC (Special Warfare Combat Craft Crewman) Operator. After the military Shellie went to work as a Revenue Officer with the Internal Revenue Service's Small Business / Self Employed function and completed a Master of Science in Management at Strayer University, Washington, DC. Since then, Shellie has transitioned from the federal government to the private sector where he worked for a local bank as a Business Consultant and as a licensed Financial Advisor specializing in tax efficient investment strategies for Small Business Owners. Along with being a licensed Financial Advisor, Shellie attained an Enrolled Agent license, the highest credential issued by the Internal Revenue Service to Tax Professionals authorizing them to represent taxpayers before all levels of the IRS. Recently, Shellie earned a Master of Law degree with a concentration in wealth management from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, VA and continues to serve small businesses, self - employed individuals, and business owners as the President of Bowman Tax & Financial LLC.
