Event Details

This workshop module provides an overview of tax reporting/insurance and is designed to help participants to understand how taxes and insurance can benefit their business.

To achieve this objective, the participants will be able to:

  • Identify the federal tax requirements of a small business and its owner, and to establish a plan to account and pay for federal taxes.
  • Identify the general state and local tax requirements of a small business, and establish a plan to account and pay for these taxes.
  • Identify methods for researching the local, municipal, and county reporting/licensing requirements for a small business.

This workshop is made possible by funding from the Department of Health & Human Services' Office of Community Service's Community Development.  In cooperation with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)'s Money Smart Curriculum.
