Tax Foreclosure Convening

About this Event

Earlier this year, a small number of us funders came together to commission a scan by the Center for Community Progress on the existing activities, policies, and practices, as well as potential interventions, to address tax foreclosures in Detroit. After circulating the findings and receiving feedback from several stakeholders deeply involved in this issue, we thought it might be useful to bring people together from the private, public, community, and philanthropic sectors to share overall findings and share information about existing and continued work moving forward.

Given your work on this issue, we’d like to invite you to participate in this discussion on Monday, September 23, 2019, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the UM Detroit Center, Ann Arbor Room. Lunch will be provided. Parking is available in the adjoining parking garage (enter on Parsons) and will be validated.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you,

Melanca Clark, President, Hudson-Webber Foundation

Don Jones, Associate Director, New Economy Initiative

Kate Levin Markel, President, McGregor Fund

Heidi Reijm, Policy and Program Fellow, Hudson-Webber Foundation

Kevin Ryan, Program Officer, Ford Foundation
