Event description

Description

BAYTL is presenting a primer on tax controversy. From initial exam through Tax Court litigation, we will discuss the lifecycle of a Tax Court deficiency case.

From assisting taxpayers during examination to representation in Tax Court, the presentation will focus on the different types of communications taxpayers may receive from the IRS, and how to successfully work with examination, appeals, and litigating your case in Tax Court. We will further discuss the types of pleadings involved and how to successfully prepare for trial.

Presenter Cameron Carr is a Senior Attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel in San Francisco. Attendees will earn one hour of MCLE credit.

Snacks and beverages will be served starting at 6:00 p.m. in Room 157. We thank USF Law for their continued, generous support.
