What's better that a social gathering involving social media experts from Boston and around the U.S. and beyond? Well, the easy answer is FREE cold beverages, but let us explain.
The Society for New Communications Research (www.sncr.org) is having their annual Symposium and Awards Dinner in Boston on November 7-8. Before it begins, Social Media Club, Boston will host this beer tasting and networking on November 6, from 7:30-9p.m. Both organizations have a long history of shared memebership, events and sound thinking for social media and business.You will be our guest - there is no charge for this event!
The Harpoon Helps Club provides the opportunity for non-profits like SMCBoston to host events at the Harpoon Brewery in Boston and receive a private tasting. The experience includes a private space for 50 guests (first to register get to do this) in the Tasting Room at the Seaport District, Boston location.
Our Tasty Beer & SNCR Social event includes:
• The Tasting Room at the Harpoon Brewery for a 1.5 hour event, with one hour of open taps for beer sampling
• a narrated Tap Talk of our beers by Harpoon staff
• a Gift Pack of Harpoon gear that we will raffle off
FOOD NOTE: Some of us will gather at Yankee Lobster for pre-event dinner.

We cannot guarantee parking for guests of the Harpoon Helps Club. There is also a garage across the street where guests can park for a fee, as well as metered parking along Northern Avenue. The brewery has limited Visitor parking, but after 6 pm, any night of the week, their lots are available for guests - Cool!
The MBTA Silver Line (route SL2) stops directly in front of Harpoon Brewery. Take the Red Line or Commuter Rail to South Station, and then follow signs for Silver Line - Waterfront. Board the Silver Line bus route SL2 or SL3 at the South Station subway terminal. Buses run every 5-15 minutes depending on the time of day. The brewery is the 4th stop from South Station, across from Harbor Street (approximately a 10 minute ride).
ACCESS: All guests will enter and exit the building through the access door on the side of the building facing away from Downtown Boston. There is a door beyond the large fermentation tanks and will be propped open with a sign for our event. Beer Hall Door Staff will direct any guests that come to the beer hall.
