About this event
Just in time for Repeal Day, Taste Through Time will take place in New York on Monday, December 12th 8pm - 11pm at the Georgia Room. The evening will include immersive, hands-on moments inspired by every decades’ connection to bourbon since the 1920s. Kicking off the evening in the speakeasy Art Deco era, we’ll taste a little history while learning about Old Forester’s Whiskey Row Series before we travel forward to celebrate modern day with a limited edition giant Birthday Bourbon cake. Along the way, we’ll make a few stops and groove through the 1970s room and the grafiti era 1990s room with performances, interactive moments and tastings in each era.
As part of Old Forester Bourbon’s Whiskey Row Series, the 1910 Old Fine Whisky, and the 1920 Prohibition Style whisky will be the first glasses raised in our very own custom speakeasy including a three piece jazz trio emulating sounds from the prohibition era and roaring 20s. Then we'll enter the 70s room and groove through the Soul Train era while tasting the 1870 Original Batch. The 90s era will incorporate a classic DJ set to match the interactive graffiti experience to celebrate the era of street art ~ all paired with the 1897 Bottled in Bond. Guests will end up in the modern era with a taste of the limited edition annual release of Old Forester’s Birthday Bourbon.
