Event description

Description

It’s the food that's trending now in Los Angeles—food inspired from the Philippines. Join C.I.C.L.E. as we partner with Public Matters and Pilipino Workers' Center for Taste of Temple Street: Filipino Bites by Bike presented by Metro.

We’ll bike to various restaurants on Temple and sample their delicious foods. If you’ve never had Filipino food, this is a perfect time and opportunity to enjoy it. You don’t want to miss this first of its kind event!

Our tour will feature the diverse and unique culinary expertise from our partners:

This is a 3-mile beginner ride featuring eateries and retailers in Historic Filipinotown (Hi Fi).

  • 6:00pm – Meet-up @ ECHO PARK LAKE, Glendale at Santa Ynez
  • 6:30pm – Start of Bike Ride, depart Echo Park Lake
  • 8:20-8:30pm – Ride from PARK’S FINEST BBQ to ECHO PARK LAKE

What to Bring: Your bicycle, in good running order, a lock and bike lights. All participants should be able to ride a bike safely with the ability to brake, change gears, and balance while stopping and starting. All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian. Children under age 8 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device to participate in the ride.

About C.I.C.L.E.: Cyclists Inciting Change thru Live Exchange (C.I.C.L.E.) is a nonprofit organization working to promote the bicycle as a viable, healthy and sustainable transportation choice.

Taste of Temple Street is generously sponsored by Metro.
