Taste of Little Mekong Restaurant Tour

Come for the food, stay for the cultures! Take a tour of the Little Mekong District in St. Paul and experience the cuisines and flavors of Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The tour will include stops at three Little Mekong Restaurants, including a full-course dinner.
Pre-activities begin at 3 pm. The tour starts at 4 pm. Restaurants on the tour: Tay Ho, Bangkok Cuisine, and Mai Village. Other restaurants are added as necessary. Cash, checks, and credit are accepted in person before the tour.
Pre-activities begin at 3 pm and include a book signing with the authors of Asian Flavors: Changing the Tastes of Minnesota Since 1875. This NEW AND LAVISHLY ILLUSTRATED BOOK is published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press and goes into the kitchens of several dozen Asian restaurants in the Twin Cities to talk with the chefs, owners and people responsible for bringing the food of the Asia Pacific Rim to Minnesota.
After the tour, stay for a free screening of University Avenue: one street, a thousand dreams with Director Peter Meyers. This is a new documentary about the colorful history of a street famous for commerce and entertainment, now a destination for immigrant hopes and dreams.
Ticket price does not include menu beverages or alcohol.
