Taste of Cuba!

After arriving in Cuba, make your way to Memories Miramar to meet the group at 4pm then enjoy a panoramic overview of Havana with sights of Vedado, the University of Havana, the iconic Malecon, Revolution Square and the Capital on the way to dinner where you’ll get to enjoy your first delicious Cuban meal at La Casa Paladar.

Head out to the University of Havana after breakfast to learn about education in Cuba and speak with staff or professors to hear about their daily lives. Next, you’ll visit the Angeles del Futuro children’s community project for circus and acrobatics. After lunch at La Habanera, you will then ride to Jaimanitas to visit the studio of the famous Cuban artist and ceramic sculptor Jose Rodriguez Fuster and hear from community leaders on the impact of Fuster’s art. End the day with a ride back to the hotel and dinner at your leisure.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel followed by a leisurely walk through Old Havana’s historic center full of colonial architecture and picturesque plazas. Afterward, tour the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana with a local art expert and learn about Cuban contemporary art, followed by lunch at La Moneda Cubana. Explore Old Havana on your own, but don’t miss San Jose Craft Market which is full of artists selling their unique art, food and, of course, Cuban cigars. You’ll have time to interact with these artisans while learning more about the Cuban people and culture. Later, return to the hotel for dinner at leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head out to Pinar del Río enjoying a scenic drive of the lush countryside with a stop at Los Jazmines Hotel for a breathtaking view of Viñales valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once you arrive in Viñales, you'll visit a local tobacco farm and learn how world-famous Cuban cigars are made by the farmer and his family. After experiencing life on the farm, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at Palenque de los Cimarrones and visit La Cueva del Indio where you'll experience what it's like to cruise along an underground river. From there, you'll visit the city center of Viñales, known for its colorful homes, then return to the hotel to freshen up then go to the farewell dinner at Jardin De Los Milagros or La Habanera with the group.

As your last day in Cuba, you'll enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then check-out and depart for the airport full of lasting memories and new friendships you formed while experiencing the vibrant country and culture of Cuba.

You’ll be moving all day, so be sure to pack some good walking shoes. And, though many meals and drinks are provided, you might want to think about bringing snacks, hand sanitizer, sunblock and any other small things you think might make your trip more comfortable.
