TASTE OF CHICAGO - AAPIP STYLE!

Meet and reconnect with AAPIP colleagues from around the country for dinner and conversations at select dining spots in Chicago. Chicagoans are generally proud of their *foodie* sensibilities, and the city has long been a port of entry for any number of ethnic communities. Learn about some of the successes and challenges these communities have undergone in the past decade from local community and philanthropic leaders. Come join us for traditional Indian food, Filipino-inspired chicken and sides, a taste of the Middle East, Chinese dumplings, and Vietnamese pho. Space is limited, registration required.

Meet at the lobby  of the Courtyard Marriott - Magnificent Mile at 6pm sharp and caravan together to our resturant destinations. Dinner will be served from 6:30pm-8:30 pm.

Dinner captains include:
  • Shilpa Bavikatte, United Way of Metropolitan Chicago
  • Libby Chiu, Illinois Arts Council
  • Julia Gin, Mondelez International Foundation
  • Grace Hou, Woods Fund
  • Maricar Ramos, Mayer and Morris Kaplan Family Foundation
  • Kashif Shaikh, McCormick Foundation
  • Nareman Taha, Arab American Network
  • Sharmila Thakkar, Siragusa Foundation
  • Padma Tumuluri, Chicago Women in Philanthropy Board
If you have questions about the event, please email AAPIP Chicago Chapter Co-chairs Maricar Ramos or Shilpa Bavikatte.

This event is free and open to AAPIP all institutional, full and associate members from around the country attending the AAPIP Annual Membership Meeting. The AAPIP Chicago Chapter and local AAPIP network welcomes you!

The Mondelēz International Foundation and the company have donated more than $1 billion in cash and food to non-profit organizations since 1990. Our community-based programs span the globe and, together with our NGO partners, we bring the joy of much-needed resources to families and their
communities.
