Thank you so much for your ticket purchase for the Taste History Culinary Tours. Your bank statement may list "History Museum" or "donate@mlfhmuseum.org" for your ticket purchase. You will receive at least TWO separate e-mails confirming your ticket purchase (be sure to check your SPAM box). These food tours are conducted by the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History which is a non-profit organization. All Sales are Final. No Refunds. Please note that your electronic receipt serves as your ticket. No tickets are sent in the regular postal mail. All credit card and on-line payments are processed by Pay Pal. You don't need a Pay Pal account to use your credit card but Pay Pal is the credit card server for this Museum and Taste History thus your credit card or bank statement may have Pay Pal listed for this tour. The credit card/bank statement will also list the Museum's name as "History Museum". Please note, we welcome children on the tour but space is limited therefore you must call 561-638-8277 to verify that space is available for children. The bakeries and eateries are visited on a rotating basis. Each tour is unique and not always an exact duplication of previous tours hosted. Please note that the tour cannot accommodate dietary restrictions and some foods may be non-traditional. The tasting tour is mostly meat-based and celebrates food culture and features Floribbean cuisine which consists of wheat, meats, beef, pork, poultry, seafood and shellfish; New Fusion cuisine with meats, beef, pork, poultry and seafood; and pastries at bakeries that may include nuts. We are logistically unable to accept individual food orders. Vegan and Vegetarian cuisines are not provided. In addition to visits to bakeries, cafes, tea shops and eateries, some food tasting experiences may include Farmer's Markets, Urban Farms and Ethnic Street Food Vendors. There is some sitting on the tour but it is not a sit-down luncheon however most food portions are hearty. Some cuisines may be culturally-specific and non-traditional. The tours to Delray Beach & Boynton Beach; and Lake Worth & Lantana are 3 to 4 hours. Tours traveling to West Palm Beach are 4 to 5 hours. The West Palm Beach tour includes various districts and Lake Worth. Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Lake Worth Beach & Lantana. Tour features Downtown Lake Worth Beach and Dixie Highway on the second Saturday of the month. Lake Worth Beach is a quirky small town that is emerging with street and mural art enhanced with mom-and-pop eateries. This tour is about 3 to 4 hours and includes bus riding and walking.

Taste History Culinary Tour

The non-profit Taste History Culinary Tour of Historic Palm Beach County is an engaging experience that travels to family-owned bakeries, juice bars, delis and eateries for more than a dozen hearty food tastings including trips to historic buildings, or emerging art shops featuring local artists; trips to emerging art districts and off-the-beaten-path. The tour is narrated by a guide and covers more than 500 years of Florida history and more than 100 years of Palm Beach County history while traveling to local and family-owned eateries for food tastings with trips to historic districts or to local art shops featuring emerging artists; and travels to historic architecture.

The food portions are hearty with culturally-specific cuisines. This fun and engaging tour includes bus riding and may include 3 to 4 blocks of walking. Although there is sitting on the tour, some eating experiences are standing-only.

Taste History also features the history and culture of the origins of foods and cuisines therefore the tour features Floribbean cuisine which consists of meats, beef, pork, poultry, seafood and shellfish; New Fusion cuisine with meats, beef, pork, poultry, seafood and shellfish; and pastries at bakeries or dessert shops. For logistical reasons, vegan and vegetarian options are not feasible.

Fees:

Effective May 8, 2018, the new rate is $51.00 per person and for children age 14 and over. Tours are free for children under age 14 (Maximum 5 children free per tour. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult family member). Pre-payment is required. Due to the increase in operating costs; an increase in our tour fees is necessary. Pre-paid reservations that have been made prior to that date will not be affected. Taste History is a non-profit educational organization. Fees are inclusive of all food and visits to cultural centers and art shops. All sales are final.

Please note: Effective January 1, 2020, rates will increase to $56 per person and for children age 14 and over. Tours are free for children under age 14 (Maximum 5 children free per tour. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult family member). Pre-paid reservations that have been made prior to that date will not be affected.
