Three of Ireland's most accomplished traditional musicians come together for a magical night of music to kick off CIFF2022

About this event

Tara Breen - is the fiddler with the legendary Cheiftans. She’s an all-round extraordinary musician who plays 9 instruments! She is the winner of both the coveted Fiddler of Dooney and Michael Coleman Fiddle competitions and was invited to perform at Dublin Castle for the Queen of England during her State visit to Ireland.

Laoise Kelly - Regarded as “the most significant harper of her generation”, Laoise has recorded on over 60 albums with many of Ireland’s foremost artists. Laoise has revolutionised the solo Irish harp and “has made it OK for a harp to sit in the centre of the session and be the heart of the trad band headlining the festival.” – Niall Keegan, Irish World Academy, UL

Josephine Marsh - Josephine’s music career has seen her perform in Australia, Europe and America, with a highlight being an invitation to perform for President Clinton on Capitol Hill. She is a composer of considerable note and her compositions have been recorded by many revered artists such as Cherish the Ladies, Mike McGoldrick, The London Lassies and Líadan.
