Join ground-breaking academic and industry leaders in this half-day seminar to explore tapping the potential of plant genomics.
7:30-8:00 am: Breakfast and Registration. Program begins at 8:00 am.
Keynote: Dan Voytas, Professor of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development; director of the Center for Genome Engineering; and Chief Science Officer of Cellectis Plant Sciences. Dr. Voytas is the recipient of the first University of Minnesota Entrepreneurial Researcher Award.
Panel Discussion: Ben Lang (President/CEO of the Minnesota Crop Improvement Association) and Doug Cameron (Co-President, First Green Partners).
Carlson School of Management faculty will lead interactive workshops that connect the session theme to:
- Innovation and Opportunity Identification
- Lean Startup Concepts, Tools and Processes
This seminar is a program of MIN-Corps, an NSF-funded effort to accelerate technology commercialization at the University of Minnesota. It is part of a 3M-funded series for masters, PhD and post-doc students featuring interactive discussions on how to bring ideas from the laboratory to the marketplace. Research staff, faculty and industry executives also are encouraged to participate.
