Event Details

Our monthly dinner series, which bring together a small group for dinner with two TAP-NY board members, have been one of our most popular events since their inception.

Good food always brings people together, and during the first week of August, and to coincide with NYC Restaurant Week, we’ll be doing five dinners with different board members in a row! Get to know the board members of TAP and make new friends during these more intimate dinners – we’ve snagged seats at tables for some of the more exclusive restaurants in the New York scene. Check out the descriptions below and sign up for the one that suits your fancy.

Each of the dinners start at 7:30PM. Restaurant Week is a prie-fixe menu for $38 plus tax and tip. Please bring cash for easy bill-splitting. Because of the nature of Restaurant Week, please sign up for only one dinner. If for any reason you can no longer make the reservation, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance. If you're open to other dates, let us know and we'll try and make sure you get placed in a dinner.


Cipriani Dolci with Alex Shih (President) and Victor Wang (Advocacy & Technology Chair):

Located on the West Balcony of Grand Central, Cipriani Dolci is known for their delicious Northern Italian cuisine, sensational tower of prosciutto, and chic ambiance. Watch the hustle and bustle of New York's busiest transportation hub in comfort and enjoy a five-star meal.

Petrossian with Betty Wang (Internal VP) and Joanne Hong (Co-Social Chair):

Housed in the historic Alwyn Court Building, Petrossian serves a French contemporary menu of gourmet caviar, smoked fish and foie gras delicacies, which they are known for throughout the world. Dine at one of the finest restaurants in the city under the gorgeous Lanvin chandelier.

Natsumi with Jessica Chen (Health & Wellness Chair) and Ray Tsai (Finance & Membership Chair):

In the heart of Theater District, Natsumi specializes in Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine with dynamic and bold flavors while maintaining its simplicity. Chef Haru Konagaya’s Seafood Toban Yaki and broiled Chilean sea bass are among favorites which pair nicely with their infused sake and wine.

Root & Bone with Emily Kuo (Community Service Chair) and Vivian Lee (Cultural Chair):

Two chefs who met on the popular Bravo show “Top Chef” joined forces and opened the charming Root & Bone in Alphabet City. Not only do you get a dose of Southern Hospitality, you can enjoy comfort food with only the highest quality of farm-fresh ingredients. Known for their fried chicken and drunken deviled eggs, you can’t go wrong with this Southern home-cooked meal.

Mercer Kitchen with Ben Watkins (Co-Social Chair) and Jessica Yeung (Design Chair):

Chef Jean-George brings creative flavors and an upscale dining experience at the chic Mercer Kitchen located in trendy Soho. Often a destination for New Yorkers, celebrities and tourists, Mercer Kitchen’s open kitchen let’s guests watch the show while enjoying a delicious meal and cocktails.
