About this event
Join the Leverett Historical Commission for a virtual visit to a tannery and fulling mill on Roaring Brook
May 20, 2021, 7-8:30 pm.
Join us in visiting the site and history of a fulling mill, blacksmith's shop, and tannery, all once powered by one mill pond created by diverting water from Roaring Brook in Leverett.
Since this is an online event, registration through Eventbrite will be required. For more information, email Susan Mareneck, leveretthistoryinfo@gmail.com.
In addition we're happy to invite you for an in-person site visit on Saturday May 21, at 2 pm. Please be prepared for uncertain footing, blackflies, and ticks. If you wish to participate in person, please note so as you sign up.
Part of the ongoing project, A Sense of Where You Are, Finding and Interpreting Mill Foundations in the Landscape, this event is funded in part by the Leverett Community Preservation Commission.
