Tancred is the musical outlet of Jess Abbott, one-time member of Now, Now and a gifted songwriter with a knack for crafting upbeat melodies undercut with cleverly biting lyrics that reveal everything is not as rosy as it seems.

About Alcoa:

The sophomore full-length from Alcoa, Parlour Tricks, arrives upon a very new and invigorating chapter in Derek Archambault's life. The singer and guitarist, who also fronts the rising hardcore/punk band Defeater, has had an intense time since Alcoa's 2013 debut Bone & Marrow; he got married, for one thing; for another, he had major surgery with a hip replacement after a debilitating injury. After a successful campaign on crowd-funding site PledgeMusic (resulting in the recently released covers EP, Thank You), he had the imminent surgery, got back on his feet, and immediately began working on new music with both Defeater and his alt-country-leaning Alcoa. Recording near his home, in Portsmouth, NH, provided a warm and familiar environment with bandmate and engineer Mike Moschetto, etching out a slightly twangy and honest sound with shades of wistful, jangley '90s alternative rock acts.

About Aisha Burns:
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and currently residing near Boston, Massachusetts, violinist, vocalist and songwriter Aisha Burns began playing violin when she was 10 years old. Soon after moving to Austin in 2005, she gained her start with a Texas folk-rock band, began touring and recording, and later joined the instrumental ensemble Balmorhea on violin in 2007. After years of secret singing, she released her solo debut Life in the Midwater in 2013. Called "twisting, ethereal...arresting" by Dazed Magazine, and praised for its "delicate intimacy" by NPR, Life in the Midwater explored mortality and relationships with candor and wisdom.

After contributing her violin work to a range of remarkable artists including Adam Torres’ and Thor & Friends, Aisha is back with another release of her own.

Her new album Argonauta, is a collection of songs about her struggle with the grief of losing her mother, while also navigating a new relationship, and ultimately trying to discern what the new normal is for her life. "Argonauta takes her vocal prowess to a new level—more confident and operatic,” Bandcamp wrote. “She evokes Thom Yorke’s plaintive cry...and occasionally, she delivers the album’s most poignant messages with an air of almost stately detachment, bringing to mind the German cult singer Nico, acting as a foil for the rich string arrangements, equally cinematic and mournful..." Called “A poignant album” by Pitchfork, Aisha wrote Argonauta to quiet a weary mind. Taking its name from a book by Anne Morrow Lindbergh called, Gift From the Sea, the record picks up where Life in the Midwater left us, this time with even more strength and light.
