About this Event

Nerves of Steel is the captivating true story of Tammie Jo Shults’s remarkable life—from growing up the daughter of a humble rancher, to breaking through gender barriers as one of the Navy’s first female F/A-18 Hornet pilots, to safely landing the severely crippled Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 and helping save the lives of 148 people.

Copies of Nerves of Steel will be available for purchase at the conclusion of the event and Captain Shults will autograph books sold.

The Women In Military Service For America Memorial is located at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery (ANC), is readily accessible by Metro (Blue Line) and paid parking is available. Driving directions are available here.

ANC has implemented new security procedures for access to the cemetery and Memorial Drive so please allow ample time.
