Tamir Rice's Sweet 16
Event Information
Description
The Tamir Rice Foundation presents Tamir’s Sweet Sixteen, a community celebration in memory of Tamir Rice.
Join us for an evening of encouraging words and performances that will uplift the spirit and reaffirm our commitment to make the world a safe and more just place—especially for children.
Tamir's Sweet 16 lineup includes: Senator Sandra Williams, Opal Tometi ( Black Lives Matter Network), Humble G, Mourning [A] BLKstar, Pages Matam ( Bus Boys and Poets) and The Distinguished Gentleman of Spoken Word.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Tamir Rice Foundation to renovate the Tamir Rice Afrocentric-Center set to break ground in 2019. The Center located in Cleveland's St. Clair neighborhood will provide arts, cultural, and educational programs for children from ages 10-19 years old.
