Tame the 3Doodler!
Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM (EST)
Are you one of the lucky members of the 3Doodler community? This new 3D printing pen has captured the interest of the creative world, and is an incredibly flexible tool -- but as one of the first wave of Doodler receivers, Ecco can tell you this thing is a little trickier than it looks. But after spending a lot of time with it, she has learned some neat things and is ready to pass it on to you! Ecco has designed some exercises and stencils for us to improve our control, technique, and expand the limits of your imagination.
You will have greater control over your pen both on the page and in the air, as well as learning effective plastic welding techniques, 3d problem solving, and new methods for attacking inspirations.
Students must have a 3Doodler, and must be at least 18 years of age.
Paper, stensils, drawing utensils, and plastic packs will be provided, included in the cost of registration.

Ecco is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She's a local artist with a passion for steel, specializing in creating wearable metal accessories (like the horns in her picture, or a set of wings for her back) and designing static and kinetic sculptures. Her previous work has included flapping pterodactyls, moth sculptures, a rideable dragon, and several other pieces.
This one-day workshop will run Saturday, January 25, 2-4:30pm.
REFUNDS: We offer full refunds for any class cancellations more than three days in advance of the class start date. After that point refunds are contingent upon the Asylum being able to fill the seat. No refunds whatsoever are offered for same-day cancellations. To request a refund for a class, please fill out this form.
CANCELLATIONS: Your class may be cancelled if too few people register. A decision will be made a few days before the class is scheduled to run, and you will be notified of the cancellation and your registration refunded in full.
