Welcome to Talks4Change: Pioneers Of Progress!

On 11 November 2025, the historic Wills Memorial Building will host Talks4Change: Pioneers of Progress, marking 60 years since the Race Relations Act. Curated by Curiosity UnLtd, this landmark summit blends conversation, culture, and civic memory. Highlights include:

  • We:Memberance procession led by Bus Boycott pioneers
  • Performances by the Renewal Choir
  • Poetry from Bristol Poet Laureate Sukina Noor
  • A panel featuring the original activists and the next generation of changemakers
  • A keynote address by trailblazing political figures.

Also, on the first anniversary of his passing, we will honour the legacy of Paul Stephenson and, in his honour, launch an ambitious campaign for Bristol to become the UK Capital of Civil Rights—with the support of Martin Luther King III.
