Presenter:

Brandy Baker, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Baker has worked in community mental health, teen residential treatment, schools, social service agencies, and in other community organizations. Dr. Baker has assisted strategic planning and designed culturally sensitive programming for a variety of communities to teach about mental health and eliminate shame surrounding mental illness. As co-owner and Clinical Training Director at Intuition Wellness Center, she provides therapy to children, adolescents, and families; consultation to schools, supervises the clinical team, and oversees a training program for the University of Arizona Clinical and School Psychology PhD students. Dr. Baker has several years of experience and training working with pediatric populations impacted by adversity and severe trauma. Her doctoral dissertation was on the topic of resilience in children and families at-risk for child maltreatment. She has developed and implemented numerous programs for children and families, including programs for inner-city youth and child welfare systems. Dr. Baker currently works with a predominantly bright, talented, and hypersensitive population of children, teens, and caregivers persevering through anxiety, phobias, mood dysregulation, giftedness, and peer difficulties. For several years, Dr. Baker has shared her passion for the topic of resilience and strength-based approaches with others by teaching numerous workshops and seminars to professional groups, organizations, graduate-level students and parents.
