Event description

Description

Talk - Skill Based Workshops are supplemental opportunities that will provide deep understanding of best practices in the Strategic Design process.

Financial Project Management | Jonathan Rewers | Tuesday | 1.16.18

Design gives us the freedom of big thinking! A key to delivering that big thinking is managing and sustaining a business whether corporate or non-profit. We also have to manage our projects and engagements efficiently and effectively. Design is in everything, even in our financial management structures. Those structures power our big ideas.

Team Building Within Distributed Teams | Mathias Jakobsen | Wednesday | 1.17.18

It’s easy to treat technology as a simple substitute for being together, when working on distributed teams. However, if we want truly effective collaboration, and growing ourselves as people along the way, we need to intentionally design our virtual interaction to build safety and intimacy.

Data Visualization | Steven Hubbard | Thursday | 1.18.18

The Data Visualization workshop provides an overview of best practices in data visualization and how it can be used to improve data driven analysis and decision-making. It also covers the various types of visualizations that can be used for effective storytelling.

Storytelling | Kiely Sweatt | Friday | 1.19.18

Whether you are teaching a lesson, leading a meeting, giving a presentation or going on a date, storytelling is an incredible approach to engaging communication. In this workshop we will take a learn by doing approach, look at the Hero's Journey framework and uncover the value of prototyping our messaging.

Please RSVP as many workshops that you can attend!
