Event description

Description

In this light-hearted novel by hilarious Jeanne Ray, we learn that baking cakes is Ruth's way of finding relief from life's many stresses. With her husband's recent job loss, her teenage daughter's perpetual sulking, her mother's sudden need to move in with Ruth and her family, and an unexpected, prolonged visit from her father (A.K.A, "the life of every party guy"), Ruth throws caution to the wind and lets the literal and figurative crumbs fall where they may by retreating to her kitchen and baking cakes. The burning question is: Will baking cakes help Ruth save the day, rescue her dysfunctional family members, and repair her frayed nerves?
