Today, Medline provides more than 350,000 products that serve the entire continuum of care. Over the last three decades, the family-controlled company has grown at an average of more than 10 percent a year and anticipates $13 billion in sales this year.

Jeff Aronin, CEO of Paragon Biosciences and co-chairman of the MATTER Board of Directors, will interview Charlie about his journey as the CEO of Medline.

About Charlie

Charlie Mills is CEO of Medline Industries, Inc. Based in Mundelein, Illinois, Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies in the United States. Charlie joined Medline in 1986 where he started as a sales representative. Since then, he has held various positions within the company including sales management, vice president of marketing and vice president of manufacturing. In 1997, he was named CEO.

Prior to joining Medline, Charlie was in sales management with IBM from 1984-1986. Charlie received his B.S. degree in Engineering and his MBA from Cornell University. Charlie is a member of the board of directors of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL.
