Event description
Presentation by Tiombe Bisa Kendrick-Dunn, SSP, MS, NCSP, LSP

About this Event

Children and young adults from culturally diverse backgrounds are viewed "at-risk" for succeeding in school, college, and the workforce. This presentation will emphasize the need for parents, educators, and related professionals to view culturally diverse gifted and talented students and young adults from an “at promise” perspective rather than an “at risk” perspective. We will explore some of the challenges and myths related to talent development in CLD (culturally and linguistically diverse) students and young adults.

If you are a parent, educator, or related professional (e.g. child psychologist, school counselor, tutor, etc.) join us for this informative presentation to better serve your students.
