Target Audience

Are you a senior leader in a small, medium, or large organization in West Michigan? As a company, have you struggled to retain employees from underrepresented groups? Has it been difficult to attract new leaders from different cultural contexts? Have you increased the diversity in your company but also see an increase in conflict rather than innovation? Are you looking to leverage your cultural diversity to increase innovation?

Workshop Description

This two-day workshop series focuses on practical application of the cultural intelligence model and research. The goal of this workshop series is to shift mindsets and provide the skillset and toolset to build a more culturally intelligent organization. The workshop provides a model for leading across any culture with specific emphasis on addressing the key cultural differences that are most challenging to senior leaders in small, medium, and large organizations based in West Michigan.

Participants will be given examples and best practices for using cultural intelligence as part of their role and will leave with an action plan for improving their cultural intelligence personally and in their teams. The content of this session is rooted in the research on cultural intelligence and from the successful use of cultural intelligence among leading global organizations.

Materials you will receive

• CQ 360 Assessment and Personal Feedback Report – A multi-rater assessment participants and observers complete the CQ Assessment. The feedback report provides self and observer ratings verses global norms, as well as an action plan for improving CQ skills at your organization.

• What's Your CQ? – The What’s Your CQ? participant guide is a 40-page resource packed with practical strategies and tips for improving and applying cultural intelligence in the workplace. It can either be used as a participant guide for during a CQ workshop or as job-aid to ensure practical application of training, coaching, or other CQ learning and development programs.

• Leading with Cultural Intelligence – Best-selling book on how to lead effectively across multicultural environment.

• Expand Your Borders – A 100-page guidebook for applying cultural intelligence to the ten largest cultural clusters in the world [print copies].

• Case Study – Practical application of cultural intelligence.

The training will be facilitated by Kristin Ekkens, Master Trainer & Strategic Advisor for the Cultural Intelligence Center.
